Ella Charlotte Watson was firstborn to Lewis and Melvina (Harnden) Watson on October 24, 1859 in Canton, MI. We know that Lewis left the family for some reason. We believe Melvina couldn't afford to support the children so Ella and her brother Nelson, went to live with Gary Covell. (We believe that Gary Covell is somehow related to Melvina.) Ella at age 15 married Frank Hutton on October 18, 1875 in Denton, Wayne Co., MI. We believe that they lived their lives in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Frank and Ella had three sons; Walter, Frank and Raymond who were all born in Windsor. |

Ella died at age 27. On back of this photo of Ella, someone had written . . . "Aunt Ella Hutton died in Windsor when Raymond was 2 weeks old. She gave him to Robert Hutton and wife but he was not allowed to know his relatives. He is a grown man now and married. Detroit, Mich." This picture was taken in Windsor. |
