Robert & Jennie (Watson) Mason

Jennie Adelaide Watson was the second born to Lewis and Melvina (Harden) Watson on July 13, 1862 in Flat Rock, MI.  Her father, Lewis had left the family and Jennie's older sister Ella and younger brother Nelson were sent to live with Gary Covell.  (We believe Gary Covell is somehow related to Melvina.)  We however are not sure if Jennie lived with Melvina or elsewhere. 

Jennie at age 16, married Robert Mason on September 10, 1878 in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.  Together they had three children; Erla, Bessie (died at age 1) and Robert Lyle Mason.   

Our records indicate that Jennie and Robert are both buried in Denton Cemetery.  There is a stone in the cemetery that says Mason and a smaller stone for Jennie.  There is no stone for Robert.  We are not sure if the grave is unmarked or he is buried elsewhere. 

	This is a picture of Jennie and her brother Nelson.  On back of the picture it says . . . "Jennie and Nelson M. Watson. Papa was told not to move till his picture was taken. But a fly lit on his lip so he had to pucker it up."

	This was not labeled, but this is clearly Jennie as a young woman.
