Jonathon & Cynthia (Cook) Trumbull

Irene Turk has a Xerox picture of Jonathon and Cynthia (Cook) Trumbull.

(I took a picture of Irene's Xerox so it wasn't that clear.  -Diane)

The following was complied by Elaine Lovelace.

The 1860 census for Washtenaw County shows Jonathon as 35 and listed his occupation as a farmer.  His wife Synthia (Cynthia) was 32 and Maria was 1.  There was also listed as living with him, James Stout, 20 as a farm laborer, John Branton 40, Mary 36, Eliza 5 and Richard Branton 8.

Jonathon lived two houses down from James Trumbull.  His personal property was valued at $400 and his farm at $2,800.   The census states he was born in NY, his wife and child in MI.  The indication that Jonathon was doing very well shows in the help he had on the farm.
